We called after hurricane Irma for an estimate and were told to wait until March for a call back to set up an appointment. Then we get a call from someone on October 26 that he would come out that day. When he called at noon to verify, we were busy and did not answer the phone so he assumed we were a "no show" and did not come out. I guess they assume that if someone makes an appointment in the morning for THAT day, the person could still cancel. Apparently that happens often. So today, a Monday we are waiting for another rep to come out and he is late and the scheduler can't find our appointment. It is a good thing we have so many hurricanes and there will always be a revenue flow for them. I am not sure they get too much repeat business or referrals. Unfortunately for us, we have to reschedule again because we need three estimates for our insurance claim.
For those of you rating Collis Roofing a 1 star, please be aware that we're at an all-time low for folks going into the construction trades, and the situation will continue to intensify as our children choose to sit behind a computer.
The Collis Team originally installed my roof, and recently professionally cleaned and treated it with an algaecide preventative to stop mold/ Algae and it looks better than new!
I called Collis Roofing for an estimate to replace my roof after hurricane Irma. Wally was the estimator sent to look at my roof. He was right on time, very polite, and extremely knowledgeable. He took time to answer all my questions and offer suggestions on other potential problem areas non-roof related that could cause trouble down the road. Wally is an excellent resource with over 40 years experience in the business!
Roofing work will always be extremely dangerous & physically/mentally challenging... it does take time to be safe and can cost ones life, I've seen it on the job.
After purchasing a new home several months ago, we discovered a roof leak. The leak manifested in the laundry room and originated in a valley higher on the roof. After getting quotes from several companies, we decided to go with our friends at Collis Roofing. Other contractors suggested expensive repairs, various types of replacement roofs, and many stated that they were "too busy to do the job for months." The decision we made to replace the roof was not based on price alone. In fact, Collis wasn't the low bidder. The decision to go with Collis Roofing was based on our knowledge of the company and the recommendation of several contractors who build quality homes throughout Central Florida. Collis completed the permitting process and started the job sooner than they had promised. They completed the job in three days as promised, and the quality of their work was outstanding. They communicated well throughout the project, and our property looked as if they hadn't been there when the job was completed. I even mistakenly had them come out to look at gutter straps on our screened area because of concerns expressed by another contractor while providing an estimate on a new screen enclosure. The Collis representative took photos from the roof that revealed that the gutter straps were installed correctly. In summary, Collis Roofing is among a handful of companies in a variety of industries with which I am comfortable doing business with and recommending wholeheartedly. From initial contact through job completion and beyond, Collis treated us the way we would want to be treated. We give them our highest rating and commend them to you wholeheartedly.
