I had the best experience this week. I went to the Sandford Orlando Kennel club, where I met this gentleman (Damien) who pointed me to the club house and gave me a free pass to eat food with my family. His smile and charisma was all my family talk over dinner. What a nice person and a great place to enjoy yourself.
The upstairs bar is surprisingly nice. Theres a $2 entry fee but the drinks are cheap
The main area is a little drab and definitely run down. However, for just $2 a person you can go to the nicer upstairs club across the way. Had some minor issues like the rain leaking in from a window, but overall was a nice and clean place with a wonderful waitress and great views of the track. Also, cocktails and food were a good deal.
Great place to take your kids and watch the Dog race!
Good food! Very SLOW service!!! There were periods of 10 to 20 minutes when I never saw a server in my area of the dining room! Then, at other times when my server came through the area, they did not even look at, or stop by, my table!! I used a Groupon this visit. The server didn't know how to verify the Groupon. They needed to hunt down phone numbers, etc., which took even longer!! By the time I left, they still did not get the Groupon verified. I will not return. Too bad, because the food was good.
