This is the worst hospital I have ever been to they will send you painkillers and send you home and then say "come back and see us if the pain continues" no wonder they called it the Death Hospital. I rather go to another hospital even if my insurance doesn't cover it and pay as much money as needed in order to get taken care of.

Dr Serrano ended up seeing our child, very reasonable & turned things around for my son. I stand by my assessment of the centers policies regarding parent visitation & involvement in the plan of care. It needs to be amendable on a case by case basis. There is NO blanket treatment in psych care. Especially in a crisis. Change it. I now understand completely why no one would ever want to use a crisis center. Knowing what I know now, I would have handled this crisis in a much different way.

Dr. S. Qadir: the most awful physician I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Do not trust her with your child. She should have her license for treating adolescents revoked. She has no idea about incorporating families into crisis plans of care nor does she care to. She made the most awful situation I've ever lived through 10000 times worse. South Seminole behavioral center needs to revamp their policies for families in crisis. Ask about them before you consider even setting foot there or you risk turning a voluntary admit into a Baker Act for your child. Big difference. Your child's mental health is disturbed even further. This behavioral crisis center is very antiquated in how they incorporate families in the plan of care and as far as we can tell, they have no care to change it. Perhaps they are not used to dealing with families that are close & loving...no excuse. I feel like there was NO thinking out of the box except by a couple of nurses that probably had a higher IQ than Dr. S. Qadir and the people that wrote the policies. Sincere thanks to the Assistant nurse manager who came to the ER from the behavioral care unit on Wednesday morning, someone with a sense of reason. What a gift. Our regular behavioral therapist, who has known us for many years, was mortified that our family was treated this way & will never recommend another family to receive crisis care here.

If I could rate lower, I would. One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a bunch of incompetent staff just looking to fill beds in to make money (I kept hearing nurses gossiping about this); I went in for pain and never once mentioned wanting to 'kill myself' but that I was in a lot of pain from a lupus flare and a brain surgery I'd had that causes nerve and muscle damage. Instead of giving me the help I needed, they put me on watch because my crying behavior put them on edge and they had me held to be 'watched'. Nothing was explained, I wasn't given an explanation and they knew I was in extreme pain but refused to let me give more detail. I was sat in a bed being watched, stripped naked, treated like I was going to kill myself when I made no comment to say that and told them I was being held involuntarily and without any evidence on their side. I told them they were holding me for NO REASON and demanded to talk to the psychiatrist through a facetime call. I was there 17 hours before I could talk to the psychiatrist on the chat who then told me that, yes, I didn't need to be there (along with THREE OTHER NURSES) and sent me home. WITH NOTHING, NOTHING for my pain. So I spent 17 hours in extreme pain and agony, begging for naproxen or any other nonnarcotic, and was given nothing except ibuprofen twice...over a course of ALMOST 18 HOURS. I had three different nurses tell me I shouldn't be there but I was forced to stay there overnight because 'the doctors weren't there'. NOBODY TOLD ME ANYTHING OR EXPLAINED ANYTHING. I've never felt so ashamed, violated, or let down by a hospital and I hope the doctor that didn't help me and did this to me is ASHAMED of herself and loses her license. I'll continue on in pain thanks to this horrible woman, and will never go to this hospital again. Honestly, you should rethink your hospital 'protocol', taking advantage of people who are in chronic pain seeking help and treating them like drug addicts or people ready to kill themselves at the drop of the hat. I hope you're all ashamed of yourselves and the way you all behaved.

Very professional staff who have made every effort to put my wife at ease with the procedure. Everyone from the pre-op paperwork to getting her into the OR have been extremely attentive and courteous.

My mother spent the summer of 2017 in numerous hospitals and this one by far was the worst. The nurses were mean and unattentive. They should send ORMC staff to an extensive training class on how to treat patients. It truly is sad when you see nurses not have sympathy for the sick nor care to help them

Negative 5 stars.

Very clean facility that goes further than any other hospital I’ve seen to ensure they reduce possibility of infection.
